Barbie Full Moon Ritual

This ritual honors Barbie, Ken and all things Pink, Blonde, and Plastic.

Alter:  Facing the east covered with a Pink Plastic cloth;
        Pink goddess candle placed in the center;
        Barbie doll placed to the right; Ken doll placed to the left;
        Placed to the East: Pink feather ;
        Placed to the South: Athame (Pink Plastic Knife);
        Placed to the West: Chalice (Pink Plastic Cup), blonde hair dye,
          and pink nail polish;
        Placed to the North: Pink faerie dust, pink lipstick, and pink
          earring.
        Hand Broome with Pink Ribbon for cleansing the alter.
        And all other mundane things pink, blonde, and plastic that are
         brought by the participants to be placed on the alter.

Cleanse the scared area with the pink faerie dust:
        “Pink faerie dust with your powers of ten,
         Bring us visions of Barbie and Ken,
         Cleanse this area of all things mundane,
         Make this area one of fun and game,
         And do it now.”

Cast the circle wit a pink straw:
        “I cast the circle round and round,
         By Barbie and Ken we are bound.”

Invite the Elements of the Directions:
        East:
        Pink Feather Boa of the East,
        Great one of the Blonde Space Cadet,
        Be with us now, and let no thought set.

        South:
        Pink Hair Dryer of the South,
        Great one of the Wet Blonde Hair,
        Be with us now, and dry with your hot air.

        West:
        Pink Nail Polish of the West,
        Great one of the polished Blonde Nail,
        Be with us now, and let no nail be pale,

        North:
        Pink Pearly Sand of the North,
        Great one of the Blonde Butt Seat,
        Be with us now, and be soft on the feet.

Invite the Goddess Barbie:
HPS:
“As it was in the Mattel factory so let it be now,  Barbie, Barbie, Barbie,  
I call on you,  your children call on you.  Come be with us now.  Tell us 
what we need to know.

The Charge of the Goddess Barbie:
Skipper:
“Listen to the words of the Great Goddess Barbie, she who of old has been 
called Baby Doll, Look Alike Doll, Crying Doll, and by many other names:

HPS:
“Hear my words and know me, Whenever ye have need of playing, once in the 
day, and better it be when you are full of merriment and fun, then shall ye 
assemble in some toy store to adore Me and Ken, and all things Blonde and 
Plastic. Ye shall be free from dullness, and as a sign that ye be free, ye 
shall sprinkle pink faerie dust, paint your nails pink, decorate your face 
with paintings and play ‘Barbie and Ken‘, all in My praise. I command that 
ye dye your hair Blonde.  Dyeing your hair blonde will bring ye more fun.  
For we all know that Blondes have more fun.   And both Me and Ken are 
Blonde.  My law is to play in Malibu, Hawaii, on the streets, in the 
playgrounds, and also in secret places for the ‘adult games‘.  The ‘adult 
games’ will always be played in the honor of Me and Ken.  For these ’adult 
games’ are My rituals.  Let no one deter ye from things ‘plastic‘.  For what 
else will last forever without degrading. (For we know that ’adult toys’ are 
made from ‘plastic‘.)   I call to ye to hasten to the mall and buy only My 
‘plastic’ things, and if they are pink, then so much the better.  And if ye 
are tempted by cheap imitations then ye shall be deprived of the full 
pleasures of ‘plastic‘.   And ye who want to look just like Me and have the 
perfect figure, then get ye to a plastic surgeon, for behold I am the 
ultimate in Blonde Plastic.

Invite the God Ken:
HP:
"Hail Ken, consort of Barbie, God of the toy store and little girls.  He who 
is always at the side of Barbie, dressed in shorts, bathing suit, or tux, 
depending where She wants to go.  Never in combat gear.  Come, be with us, 
and give Barbie some company".

HP: Be it known that plain lemonade is not better than pink lemonade

HPS: Nor is pink lemon aid better than plain lemon aid

HP: For both are better than the falsely named "imitation lemonade"

HPS: And neither is limeade.

Great Rite:

HPS: (Holds the ’Chalice’ Pink Plastic Cup.)  As the Chalice is to Barbie.

HP:  (Holds the ‘Athame’ Pink Plastic Knife) So is the Athame to Ken.

HPS & HP: May they show us that the way to unite is neat,

HPS & HP: Great are Barbie and Ken! Let us eat!
