Two Nights before Dark Moon

Host advises the people to bring their besoms (also known as magick brooms),
and, if they want, picture of cemeteries. They can dress old and or Witchy.

This will be an out door ritual with a raging fire.

If the people would like, they can bring a libation to the Caileach and they
should bring in a pen and paper. The people are encouraged to write upon these
scaps of paper negativities that they wish to rid themselves of.

For this ritual I will use a black altar cloth with a skull pattern.
I will wear something that looks old. On the altar. I will have the representation
of the four Elements. I will provide the food and drink (cakes and ale) for the ritual.

(Caileach in Scotland is pronounced Coyluck Luck is pronounced as if you are clearing your throat.)

This ritual will put us in contact with Caileach and the crone within you.
It will help you accept age and aging. It will help you remove clutter from your life
and make room for new influences.

And now to begin:

KALIMIR: Relax. Banish the oudsiders from the area. Light the altar candles. Cast the circle

The calling in the Elements:

EAST CALLER: (Invocation)
"In the name of the Caileach I call to the East and Air. I call forth Paralda the King of the Sylphs.
I call forth the winds of intelligence and the power of the mind.
I call to the powers of the Maiden Goddess, spring, the rising sun and morning.
Hail and Welcome!"

SOUTH CALLER: (Invocation)
"In the name of the Caileach I call to the South and Fire. I call fourth Djinn the King of the salamanders.
I call forth the fires of passion, strength, will, and protection.
I call to the warrior goddess the fierce amazon. I call to the powers of Summer, the sun, and afternoon.
Hail and Welcome!"

WEST CALLER: (Invocation)
"In the name of the Caileach I call to West and Water. I call forth Niksa the King of the Undines.
I call forth the waters of reflection, love, psychic powers, the emotional healing.
I call to the Mother Goddess the lady of life. I call to the powers of Autumn, the setting sun, and dusk.
Hail and Welcome."

NORTH CALLER: (Invocation)
"In the name of the Caileach I call to the North and Earth. I call fourth Gob the King of the Gnomes.
I call fourth stability, deep wisdom, our ancestors, manifestation of good desires, I call forth the
understanding of the Occult.
I call to the Crone, the grandmother goddess. I call to the powers of winter, the moon, and midnight.
Hail and Welcome!"

KALIMIR: "At this time I instruct you to let yourselves feel old.
Visualize gray hair, the wrinkles, etc. Now all say this invoking chant

Chant: "Old Woman Dark Mother Goddess of the black earth!"

Chant it, sing it. Slow than fast, build up the energy. Call to her from your very being with this chant.
Look at the alter, close your eyes, feel this chant, flow with it, think of skulls, the black soil,
the tall and lofty mountains, huge boulders, the dying, death, the elderly.
See a young woman become old. chant and chant!

Chant: "Old Woman, Dark Mother, Goddess of the Black Earth!"

We will continue until contact is made. Then I recite a second invocation.

KALIMIR: "Caileach, Caillighe old goddess and powerful crone.
Oh Witch goddess of the Earth, snow witch, winter witch, lady of storms, I call you.
Goddess of the bitter cold of winter, freeze the negative and with your winds blow
to us the positive things we wish to acquire. Thank you Grand Mother."

KALIMIR: "Now it is time to tell the Caileach the things that we ask to get rid of.
Give Caileach praise, tell her you wish to accept your inner wisdom, ask her if she will help you deal
with your hurts and any repression you may have, tell her you accept the fact that you will age.
With aging comes wisdom and experience. Welcome her. Now get used to being old in this ritual."

Kalimir now places her hands above the cauldron and call out while directing energy down to it.

KALIMIR: "Cauldron of Transformation, I call you to take away this misery and replace it with something positive."

KALIMIR: "Now take your pieces of papers that you have written on. Think about these negative things
being taken away from you or frozen. When you are done, drop the papers in the cauldron.
Visualize the negativity gone and something better has come into your life.
For instance, if someone gossiped about you, see yourself vindicated, and their lies are seen as just that: lies."

SKYBEAR will now pick up the cauldron and throw it into the fire.

SKYBEAR: "It is time to dance and laugh around the circle widdershins, counter clockwise.
With you besoms or hands, sweep the negativity away from you. Rejoice that this
negativity is gone from your life."

When the rejoicing dies down:

KALIMIR: "STOP! Now think of one, two, three things that are positive that you want in your life
to replace the bad that you just just banished. Now you dance around the circle deosoil, clock wise.
Dance around the fire. Sing and rejoice."

When the rejoicing dies down:

KALIMIR: "Let us ground!"

KALIMIR shows the people how to ground.

Cakes and Ail:

KALIMIR consecrates the food and drink with a prayer to Cailleach.

KALIMIR: "As the wand is to the God, so is the chalice to the Goddess."

Now I place the wand inside the chalice and say:

KALIMIR: "Together they bring joy, abundance, and life."

The food and drink are distributed.

KALIMIR: "You may now commune with the goddess after eating and drinking.
As you wish, you may come to the altar to thank her and give her any libation
you may have brought for her."

The Dismissal:

KALIMIR: "We thank you Caileach for being with us this night.
Hail to you oh Black Annis, Gentle Annie, mighty Grand mother."

The Elements are released:
