A Prayer of Healing

ALL/repeat:  We join with the earth and with each other.

To bring new life to the land
To restore the waters
To refresh the air

STARWIND:  Let us begin by taking a moment to go within, following our hearts, feet securely on the Path of Peace.

IASIS: (at least 2 minions) It is our intention to acknowledge and honor all the peoples of the Globe to the East.  May we all feel the gentle breeze of our purpose here.

 

(Tigerlily, bat Dinah) Repeat after us:  We behold your existence and ask that all those who live in the East come to experience Peace between all people.

 

CHAHANPI: (at least 2 minions) It is our intention to acknowledge and honor all the peoples of the Globe to the South.  May we all feel the warmth of our heartfelt intent. 

 

(Minions) Repeat after us:  We behold your existence and ask that all those who live in the South come to experience Peace between all people.

ELIZABETH: (at least 2 minions): It is our intention to acknowledge and honor all the peoples of the Globe to the West.  May we all feel the wellspring of love. 

 

(Minions) Repeat after us:  We behold your existence and ask that all those who live in the West come to experience Peace between all people.

 

d’ELF: (2 minions) It is our intention to acknowledge and honor all the peoples of the Globe to the West.  May we all feel nourished by the words spoken here.

 SAILLE:  In the Center and all around us, Above and Below, Within and Without, Here and There, All Places and No Places, All Time and No Time -  Noble and Blessed Spirit.....the Quintessence, the ether of the Heavenly Bodies where the Universe was created.  I call to the power of Gaia, She – who is the Earth – and who sustains our lives with Her bounty.  She who brings us the blessings of Love, Hope, Friendship, Sisterhood, Brotherhood, and this Sacred Community of Humankind.  She who resides in our hearts, our experiences, our oneness, balance, wholeness... Let us feel Her now for She is so close...  So be it.

 

Ancestor Call:

AtS:  We are from everywhere and everytime. Our ancestors stretch back behind each of us here, all the way back - see them in your mind’s eye … see all the lands they come from - all of them present here. And see all the descendents stretching before each of us - descendents of body and mind - the future present within us. All are present.   We invite them to celebrate peace, and help us to create peace, both without and within. We are comfortable and at peace.

The garden of green hillocks
dresses up for visitors
in the most beautiful colors
as if a young woman's dowry
were spread out glittering with gold necklaces
or as if someone had poured out
censers of musk powder
mixed with the purest aromatic oils

The Blessing of the Candles

Quarters come forward to the main altar and light their candle from the candle Rev. Gail and Spelcastor have blessed first.  As in rituals with Cakes and Ale, pass/light candles to participants within your quarters.

Iasis/EAST:  We have remembered that we are of the Air - how we feel it expand within us, as all peoples do.

d’Elf/NORTH:  We have remembered that we are of the Earth - how we feel it in our substance, as all peoples do.

 Pythia/WEST;  We have remembered that we are of the Water - how we can feel it on our skin as all peoples do.

Chahanpi/SOUTH:  We have remembered that we are of the Fire - how we feel its warmth, as all peoples do.

 SAILLE:  We have remembered that we are all a part of the Whole, each one of us as important as the next.

ATS:  We have remembered our ancestors and descendents present. We will remember that this is the beginning of Hope.
