of relationships.
Ostara is a celebration of birth and new
life. The time of year when death
holds no power over the living. It is
the return of the Goddess after her winter hibernation. It is the time of the year when the Goddess
and God consummate their love.

And, now we will perform the Great Rite.
As male joins female for the betterment of all,
let the fruits of their union promote life.
Blessed Be.
Now, each of the Priestess’s, from the four
corners will perform the Great Rite --- This signifies the union of male
joining female, the creative forces join and we celebrate life.
Priestess’s of the Four Directions:
(Each blesses their quarter)
Voicetress: We all come from the goddess
---
(drums playing softly, everyone
singing)

(cakes and ale passed out)
We will now share cakes and ale.
The food, which we are about to eat
Is Earth, Water, and Sun, compounded through the
alchemy
Of many plants.
Therefore Earth, Water and Sun will become part
of us.
This food is also the fruit of the labor of many
beings and creatures
We are grateful for it.
May it give us strength, health, joy.
And may it increase our love.
(**UU prayer)
To the Goddess! To the God! Blessed Be!
Voicetress:
Air I am, Fire I am, Water, Earth and Spirit I am…
High
Priest:
Before we close this rite, you will
be given some sage to spell with.
After the Priestess gives you the
sage, come forth and toss your offering in to the fire to transform this
thought into reality.
(soft
drumming)
Everyone together, and as I will it, so mote it
be,
Blessed Be!
High
Priestess:
We give honor to the drums, to the songtress,
xylophonist, our fire tender, priestesses
And, like a whirlwind the rite, comes to a
close, the quarters are dismissed with honor and reverence.
We bid adieu to La Luna and El Sol….
The circle of energy around us begins to fade…
By the earth that is her body
And by the air that is her breath
And by the fire of her bright spirit,
And by the living waters of her womb,
The circle is open, but unbroken,
May the joy of the Goddess live in our hearts.
Merry meet, and merry part,
And
merry meet again.

Unbroken….
