The Yum Yum Ritual
Celebrated by Spelcastor & FoxyOwl
Florida Pagan Gathering
Beltaine 2007

This ritual is typically performed between two Wiccans or one
Wiccan and a Muggle. The focus is flirtation and thus everyone is
excepted to be a consenting adult, even the Muggle.

When performed with two Wiccans, they alternate or mirror each
line. When the situation is only one Wiccan, the Muggle watches in
awe. Lots of eye contact makes the ritual more effective. The
lines are best ad-libbed, once you have the idea of this ritual
within your mind.

The two participants sit facing each other. Two quarter candles
are on each side of them. Other props are a dish of scented oil,
two matching goblets of wine, some select and very ripe fruit, and
optionally, a Purple Potion.

The two sit on a blanket. The props are placed so they will not be
knocked over. Robes or loose fitting clothes worn. Anything soft
to the touch and that can be easily removed. Since the Purple
Potion takes about 25 minutes to start working, allow plenty of
time for ceremony. This rite draws upon ancient Babylonian love poems
and other thoughts on Pagan Love.

The Purple Potion (Invoking the Jolly Blue Giant):

(HPS gleefully removes from a velvet pouch, a blue gumdrop wrapped
in tissue. She kisses it and hands it to the HP. HP admires it.)

(HPS pours a little beverage into his goblet. He toasts her and
swallows the potion.)

HPS:
"Old male fears be cast aside,
Bring to life that which has died.
  No more, obsess with self-reliance,
Take some aid from modern science
Be not concerned with one-time limits,
This magick works in thirty minutes."

Creation of the Sacred Space:

HPS: "I welcome you to my inner world.
We step outside of time and space.
I cast about us (gesturing while still sitting)
a Circle of Protection.
May nothing harmful enter from the outside.
May all that happens within, remain our secret."

HP: "I welcome you to this, my inner world.
We step outside of night and day, light and dark.
May nothing harmful enter from the outside.
May all that happens within, remain our secret."

HPS lights the East Candle (while still sitting):
"Come join us elementals of Air,
touch our minds,
bring to us creativity,
and no glum thoughts,
Sylphs of the East,
Be with us now."

HP lights the South Candle (while still sitting):
"Come join us elementals of Fire,
bring us the heat of passion,
 of energy and life itself,
of heat, of passion, of energy, of life itself!
Lend us your vigor and strength.
 Kindle our hearts.
 Salamanders of the South,
 Be with us now."

HPS lights the West Candle (while still sitting):
"Come join us elementals of Water.
 source of feeling and emotion,
 of dreams and intuition.
Let flow the currents that we become in tune,
with the torrents that surge within us,
 Undines of the West.
 Be with us now."

HP lights the North Candle (while still sitting):
"Come join us elementals of Earth,
Bring us your rich in mystery and abundance.
Ground us in the energies of nature,
 Gnomes of the North,
 Be with us now."

The Toast (HP pours beverage into two goblets):

HPS: "I raise my cup to you.
It is full and overflowing.
It is open to you as I am.
As this beverage quenches my thirst,
May you quench the thirst
that burns within me."

HP: "I raise more than just my cup to you.
As I have filled it,
so shall you be filled.
I will quench the thirst
that beverage cannot touch."

The Anointing of the Favored Parts (using oil in dish):

HP: "And now it is time to anoint the favored parts."

HPS: "And just what does it mean to anoint?"

HP: "To rub or sprinkle on; to apply an oily liquid."

HPS: "Then be must first consecrate this magickal lubricant!"

"I bless now this sacred jell,
To shield and smooth that which might swell,
We'll glide and slip and seem to fly,
  with ample measures of K.Y."

HPS: "I touch your forehead,
to touch your mind.
It is clever thoughts that draw me closer.
I touch your lips,
that bring me both wit and feeling.
I touch your breast,
to feel the passion that beats within.
I touch your wand.
May it rise and plow my furrow."

HP: "I touch your forehead.
to touch your mind as the gateway
to your treasures.
I touch your lips
and the sweet words they share.
I touch your breast
and feel the beating of your heart.
I touch your flower,
and your petals unfold for me."

The Fruits of the Garden:

HPS: (Lifts the banana and peals it.)
"I take this fruit.
I peel back its protective skin.
And then I touch so gently,
First the right; then the left.
Then I envelop it,
with promise of things to come."

HP: (Removing the pre-cut quarter from the pomegranate)
"I take this fruit once opened,
I hold it gently in my hands,
Its wetness flows around my fingers.
I offer it caresses, softly, softly,
First to the edges,
And then to the center."

The Prayerful Invocation of the Goddess and the God:

HPS: "Goddess Aphrodite be with me now!
Give me your graces and your skills,
Your passion and your power!"

HP: "God Hern be with me now!
Give me strength and endurance,
Give me gentleness and fire!"

The Great Rite:

This is a G-rated workshop and so we must stop here.

Much later we would dismiss the quarters, if either of us
remembers.
