Presents the Fourth Annual South Florida
Last year, 260+ people showed up for our gala. Some figured out that this
was not a typical Halloween Party and left early. Other came late.
The deejay music was raucous and magickal. Our jewelry vendor sold
mostly items with penticles. Our psychic reader was busy.
As the evening progressed, we held an Atunement Ritual in the Memorial Garden.
Later we did an Empowewring of the Warrior Woman.
At midnight, we spun the Wheel of the Year.
We told the story of this season on the year, and were led by Spirit Dancers
through the Underworld and out to the Main Circle. We counted 200+.
We had drums and two bonfires. We lit candles for our departed
loved ones. We cast the Memorial Wreath into the fire.
Among us were coven members, solitaries, the experienced, the seekers, and
the curious.
We raffled meaningful door prizes of pagan statues and gifts donated to us
by Crystal Fantasy, Bookstore
of the Scared Light Temple located in Margate, Florida, at St Rd 441 and
Coconut Parkway. Support your local Metaphysical Shoppes.
When the smoke cleared the next morning, most everybody was pleased with our
event. After paying our expenses, we will give some money back to
the church. They were nice enough not to charge us rent.
Yes, the Fourth Annual South Florida Witches Ball will be
Saturday, October 27, 2001. The doors will open at 7:30 PM and the DeeJay will
start at 8:00 PM. Cost of the Ball will be $10 at the door. Bring
your favorite beverage. We will have one food vendor, a couple readers, a masseuse,
and more. Ritual garb and/or costumes are encouraged. NO PHOTOS! Some of us are
still closeted.
Once
again we plan the lighted labyrinth outside. Outside, there will be a meditation
in the Memorial Garden around 9:00 PM. About 10:15 PM, a few of us will gather
at the fire circle to remember Lady Demeter with stories. She recently passed to
the Summerland and she had far reaching influence within our community. At about
11:45 PM, the music will stop and the main Ritual will begin inside. We will
weave our way out through the memorial Garden and on to the fire circle. There
may be some ghosts about. The is no charge for the Main Ritual,
of course.
Do email us with encouragement
and suggestions.
Perhaps it's time to come out of the broom closet?
